These Terms & Conditions explain the terms that apply when you use the Mossy's Mobile RWC website, contact us, request or book an inspection, use our services or read information published in Mossy's Guides.
These Terms & Conditions apply to Mossy's Mobile RWC, our services and the website www.mossysmobilerwc.com.
Mossy's Mobile RWC provides mobile vehicle inspection services from the Gold Coast, Queensland.
These Terms should be read together with any information, quote, booking confirmation or service details provided to you for the particular inspection you request.
Mossy's Mobile RWC provides vehicle inspection services including:
Each service has a different purpose and scope. A Safety Certificate inspection, Pre-Purchase Inspection and COI inspection should not be treated as the same type of inspection.
An enquiry or booking request submitted through the website is a request for an appointment and is not confirmed until Mossy's confirms the booking with you.
A requested date or time is therefore a preference until it has been confirmed.
Availability can depend on factors including the inspection required, the vehicle location, travel requirements and existing appointments.
If information provided at the time of booking changes the scope or price of the requested service, any material change will be discussed with you before the changed service is provided.
Mossy's provides a mobile inspection service. The vehicle will need to be available at a location suitable for the inspection being performed.
Depending on the circumstances, this may be at a home, workplace, dealership, car yard, private seller's location or another suitable agreed location.
There must be reasonable and safe access to the vehicle and sufficient space and conditions for the inspection to be properly performed.
If the location or conditions are not suitable for the inspection, the appointment may need to be moved, postponed or rescheduled.
When arranging an inspection, please ensure that:
If you are arranging an inspection of a vehicle owned by another person or business, you are responsible for ensuring permission for the inspection has been obtained.
The official Queensland certificate commonly referred to as a roadworthy is a Safety Certificate.
A Queensland Safety Certificate inspection assesses the vehicle against the applicable Queensland minimum vehicle safety standards and inspection requirements in effect at the time of the inspection.
A Safety Certificate inspection is not a comprehensive mechanical inspection and does not provide an assessment or guarantee of the vehicle's overall mechanical quality, future reliability or life expectancy.
A Safety Certificate can only be issued where the vehicle satisfies the applicable inspection requirements.
A Safety Certificate and a Pre-Purchase Inspection have different purposes. If you want a broader assessment of a used vehicle before purchasing it, a Pre-Purchase Inspection is a separate service.
A Pre-Purchase Inspection is intended to provide information about a vehicle's condition at the time of the inspection and within the agreed scope of the service .
The scope of the inspection is the scope described on the relevant Mossy's Pre-Purchase Inspection service page or otherwise confirmed with you when the inspection is arranged.
Inspection findings are based on the components, conditions and information that are reasonably accessible, observable or testable during the inspection.
Although a Pre-Purchase Inspection can help identify concerns and assist you in making a more informed purchasing decision, no inspection can guarantee that every possible vehicle fault will be detected.
Hidden defects, intermittent faults, internal conditions requiring dismantling, faults that are not present or detectable at the time of the inspection, and future mechanical problems may not be reasonably detectable within the agreed scope of the inspection.
Inspection findings therefore relate to the condition of the vehicle and the information reasonably available at the time the inspection is performed.
Nothing in this section excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law.
COI inspections are carried out in accordance with the applicable Queensland inspection requirements and the relevant Transport and Main Roads inspection standards or manuals for the vehicle category being inspected.
The requirements that apply can differ according to the type and use of the vehicle.
A COI can only be issued where the vehicle successfully satisfies the applicable inspection requirements.
Mossy's provides COI inspections only for vehicle types and inspection categories the business is authorised to inspect.
Vehicle owners and operators remain responsible for checking and meeting any ongoing COI, registration or operating requirements that apply to their particular vehicle and circumstances.
Booking an inspection does not guarantee that a vehicle will satisfy the applicable inspection requirements or that a certificate will be issued.
Where an inspection identifies items that prevent a vehicle from meeting the applicable requirements, Mossy's will provide the relevant inspection result or information associated with the service performed.
Unless separately agreed, repairs, replacement parts and mechanical repair work are not included merely because an inspection has been booked.
Any reinspection will be subject to the requirements, eligibility and timeframes that apply to the relevant inspection type at that time.
The price for your inspection will be displayed, quoted or otherwise advised as part of the booking arrangements.
Payment is due in accordance with the payment arrangements confirmed for the service or shown on an invoice.
If you request a material change to the service, vehicle or location that affects the price, any revised amount will be confirmed before the changed or additional service is carried out.
Government fees, regulatory requirements and other externally determined charges may change. Where relevant, current requirements at the time of the service apply.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an inspection, please contact Mossy's as soon as reasonably possible.
An appointment may need to be rescheduled if the vehicle, required access, permission or a suitable inspection location is not available at the agreed time.
Any cancellation, call-out or rescheduling charge will only apply where the charge has been clearly disclosed as part of the booking arrangements and where it may lawfully apply.
Nothing in this section removes any rights or remedies that apply under Australian Consumer Law.
