Do I need to be at the vehicle during the inspection?

Not necessarily. Mossy's can come directly to the vehicle at an agreed location. Once the inspection is complete, we'll contact you and talk you through the findings.

Can you inspect a car I'm buying from a private seller?

Yes. The inspection can be arranged at a suitable vehicle location, including a private seller's location, provided access to the vehicle has been organised.

Can you inspect a vehicle at a dealership?

Yes, subject to the dealership allowing access and a suitable inspection arrangement being made. Mossy's mobile service means the inspection comes to the vehicle rather than you bringing it to a workshop.

Will I get a report after the inspection?

Yes. Mossy's first talks you through the findings by phone so you can ask questions, and you'll then receive a detailed written inspection report to refer back to.

Is a Pre-Purchase Inspection the same as a Roadworthy Certificate?

No. A Queensland Safety Certificate — often called a Roadworthy Certificate or RWC — checks whether a vehicle meets minimum safety standards. A Pre-Purchase Inspection is intended to give a buyer more information about the vehicle before deciding whether to buy.

Should I also do a PPSR check before buying?

A physical inspection and a vehicle history search provide different information. It's worth considering an official Australian Government PPSR vehicle search as part of your checks before finalising a used car purchase.
